!! OMG, no longer trapped in the closet: Stream R.Kelly’s new album “Black Panties” in full !!

black-panties-jeezy-spend-that.jpg
R. Kelly is back with his new album “Black Panties”, which is a huge relief, because there was speculation that Kelly could name his album “Brown Panties”, which really wasn’t sitting well with us. I’m hoping on the follow-up to this, he really steps it up and releases “No Panties”, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The album art is gorgeous. He’s obviously insinuating that he’s playing that woman like a beautiful viola or cello, which is pretty sweet.
Check out a full album stream below with guests like Kelly Rowland, Jeezy, Ludacris and 2 Chainz. Future, Migos and Juicy J after the jump! The album is available for purchase on December 10th.

Bequiffed Toronto synth-pop act Trust will release his second album Joyland on March 4 via Arts & Crafts.
Described in a press release as an “eruption of guts, eels, and joy,” the LP will apparently broaden the band’s emotional palette now that singer Robert Alfons is flying solo following drummer Maya Postepski’s departure a while back.
Check out the ethereal Joyland teaser trailer and Trust’s upcoming European tour dates below:

Tour dates:
December 10 – Istanbul, Turkey @ Salon
December 11 – London, England @ Servants Jazz Quarter

!! OMG, let’s all head to the roller-disco: Todd Terje returns with “Spiral & “Q” !!

artworks-000028168091-mtdo51-original.jpg
Norwegian producer Todd Terje is back with some summer heat for your frozen, wintered bones. He’s just released 2 new warm tracks which you can stream, in full below. From SPIN:

“Spiral” is a beaming, Italo-inspired answer to Miami Vice, right down to the roto-toms. It’s not all so sunny, though: Listen closely, and you may even hear a hint of the Cure’s Disintegration in the chiming guitars. The B-side’s “Q”, meanwhile, is a 12-minute foray into what the label describes as “trance-not-trance,” and we’re inclined to agree with them. Playing a lean synthesizer arpeggio off twinkling chords, and spinning it all through loop-de-loops of filtered delay, it would make a fine soundtrack to any roller-disco outings you may have planned this holiday season — or ice-rink disco, for that matter.

Terje’s debut album is due out in March, 2014!

!! OMG, Video Premiere: Kids On TV’s “Poison (City Mix)” !!

Kids On TV‘s new album Pantheon isn’t out until December 6th, but for now you can take a look at the new video for “Poison (City Mix)” which was remixed by Matt Collins (Ninja High School, Blue Tapes).
Both the song and video are on a retro tip, and the video (directed by Jonathan Culp) was based on made-for-TV movies from the 1980’s. Check out the video above, and find remixes from Vee Factory and Boy Pussy after the jump!
