!! OMG, tattoos everywhere: Except down there !!

rick-genest-image1.jpg
Model, muse, and Mother Monster video man Rick Genest(a.k.a. Rico) has tattoos covering every inch of his body….except for those inches. But not because he doesn’t want a tattooed peen. In an interview with Hint, Mugler creative director and Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti explains why:

Hint: Wait, is his whole body tattooed? Like a skeleton?
Nicola: It’s a skeleton theme, yeah. Well, except his uh, there. (Laughs.)

Hint: It’s good to know some things are still sacred.
Nicola: Yeah, but not because he didn’t want to. He didn’t have the money.

Hint: So eventually he’ll get it done. Sounds painful.
Nicola:(Laughs.) Maybe it’ll be a selection of cock rings. I just really fell in love with the way he lived. In a way his story is similar to Gaga, in that there’s no going back. You do what you believe. You are that, you are what you’re creating.

winners-playlist.jpg

Download. Take two shots of grain alcohol (yes, I’m ignoring that it’s 9:30am here). Press play. Maybe take off your shirt. Dance. Dance a little harder. Make it all the way to the Brooke Hogan song before you consider a third shot.

!! OMG, new Cazwell: ‘Get My Money Back’ !!

Meh, it’s no Ice Cream Truck, but the newest video from Cazwell for Get My Money Back still features a bouquet of shirtless dancers (and even a little butt crack, heeeey). The rapper described the video as “Fight Club versus National Geographic,” and I’m pretty sure he stole those monkey hats from this.

!! R.I.P. disco icon Loleatta Holloway !!

lovesensation.jpg
Dance music fans are waking up today to the sad news that soul and disco singer Loleatta Holloway died on Monday following a short illness. NME.com reports that her manager Ron Richardson confirmed the news last night. She was 64 years old.
In the 1970s, Holloway’s uplifting voice ascended the dance charts thanks to hits like “Dreaming”, “Hit and Run” and “Love Sensation” (above). A decade later her voice was all over the radio again when Euro group Black Box sampled “Love Sensation” for their smash hit “Ride On Time”, though they failed to credit Holloway. She later sued the band and won. Children of the ’80s and early ’90s should also remember Holloway’s vocals from Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’s inescapable 1991 hit “Good Vibrations” — her first and only number one on the Billboard Hot 100. More recently, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys sampled her song “We’re Getting Stronger” for Whitney Houston’s “Million Dollar Bill”.
Head over to Twitter for tributes from fans, DJs and performers like Boy George and Giles Peterson.
