!! OMG, what’s black and white and lush all over?: Kate Boy’s ‘The Way We Are’ !!

After earlier release ‘In Your Eyes’, it’s pleasing to see an equally monochromatic video offering from Kate Boyin the form of new single ‘The Way We Are’.
Donning tricep-suspenders in a slicked-back Lara Croft-esque silhouette, ‘Kate’ choreographs a sequence that contrasts well with the angular pulsating lighting and beat.
Oh, then there is the silky amorphous globule entity at 3.20…my guess is that’s Grannie’s half-chewed Liquorice Hershey’s Twizzler that she was munching on last Thursday afternoon, but what that’s doing there I cannot say.

!! OMG, “sure it leaves a stain”: Jiz’ broken ‘Hymen in her Thighs’ !!

Featuring Tracy Chapman in her ‘Fast Car’, Kimber has a NSFW pony-puss-problem and so she ‘shuts up and drives’ away from ‘Jiz and the Mammograms’ only to ‘shut up and drive’ back and perform a remake of Riri’s ‘Diamonds’ entitled ‘Hymens’:

“I’ll break your soul
I’ll make your cry
/
I’ll call you fat
with the face of Bill Nye
/
You got a lazy eye
and cellulite
I’ll break you like
the hymen in your thighs”

…giving barf-day girl Cher some comeback competition !

!! OMG, this gives me JELLY BELLY: Takashi Murakami’s ‘Jellyfish Eyes’ !!

JE_Screen Shot 2013-05-03 at 8.52.57 AM.png
Animazing multi-medium artist Takashi Murakami’s directorial debut ‘Jellyfish Eyes’ [Mememe no kurage] tells the story of a young boy who is evacuated from where he lives to a small town and a school where all kids get given a remote control Furby/Tamagotchi-type pal [with monstrous ulterior motives].
One such ‘Poké-pal’ Luxor is like a fat humanoid Falcor, whilst Masashi’s own ‘Friend’ is Kurage-bo [Jellyfish Boy] who was made super cute for the film but originally was meant to be something altogether different, as Takashi told Flavorwire:

“He was almost naked, my original design…he has a big penis or something…and really, you know, smells stinky.”

Erm, ok hon…:s…It being, A BLOOMING CHILDREN’S MOVIE I think somebody smart decided this to be not too appropriate so the design was toned down to look more like an abundance of testicles [much better and far more appropriate of course]!
But fret not you Hentai whores, Murakami has already wrapped on the admittedly darker part 2 which even by his own standards needs custieing up a little. You can KONICHIWATCH the Japanese trailer after the jump.

!! OMG, your very own pair of lil’ boot-ons: Little Boot’s ‘Nocturnes’ !!

LB_3e827c7b.jpg
Little Booties’ record is out “officially” [said through Detox’ blubber duck lips, loudly and firmly] next week, but here at omg we are feeling very much like hungry pop musical bottoms [as in “pop it up there now”]!
Pitchfork knows that we are preparing to fit Little Boots up there so they have provided a set of tuning forks for us to increase our gauge, in preparation for the whole 12 inch when it drops on May 7th.
You can stream the album NOW over at PitchforkAdvance which includes the Andy Butler collab. ‘Every Night’ and my flavourite ‘Shake’ [below].
This record is making pop hamazement, it’s a bunch of Kylie,, a tad Goldfrapp and a smidgen Róisín Murphy and definitely fills a hole left gaping from previous teasers…and if your kankle-hole is too inflamed to ingest it, we suggest you USE A SHOEHORN, you ugly sister!

!! OMG, “much more ‘banging’ as they say”: Pet Shop Boys album interview !!

What you just watched is the video for ‘Axis’, track number one of the Pet Shop Boys’ 12th Album entitled ‘Electric’, due out in mid July.
Threatening that it may be the only personal press they do for the record, they spoke to Stereogum about the dance album’s more experimental structure, imagining Madonna doing the ‘Dress You Up’ dance to the record, and watching Annie Lennox do yoga and George Michael watch ‘Ab Fab’ at the Olympics last year.

“One of the things I love about the Electric is that there are bells — literally, bells — on almost every track. We hadn’t used sounds like that since the early ’80s. It reminds me of New York in 1981 or 1982 — the sound of it.” _Neil

You can read the entire interview HERE, and see the record track listing and tour dates after the jump.
