Rick Owens‘ menswear show in Paris on Thursday left many shocked because rather than the regular, old exposed nipple trick that designers have been serving up with female models for ages, Owens decided to give the audience some male peen! Check it out after the NSFW jump!
Sister-sister, never knew how much I missed her!
Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld declared in a recent interview that he has no family and that his harem of male models are his “sons without the unpleasant obligations sons create”. Well, in that very same interview, Karl mentioned that he has a sister by the name of Christiane Johnson who is living in Connecticut!
The two grew up together in Germany. Christiane recalls that the ‘precocious’ Karl preferred to paint rather than play with other children. She says he loved to find old paintings and paint on the other side of the canvas
Karl went on to design for Balmain after winning a coat contest in 1955. His visits to his family in Germany diminished as his fame in Paris grew
Christiane became an au pair to a couple in Seattle and started a life with her late husband, Robert. She now has grandchildren who hope to meet her brother one day
No? Well, us neither but someone did so they opened up their Photoshop and went there. Writers Holly Eagleson and Lauren Wade remade a selection of controversial ads as part an essay on sexism for Take Part. The pair switched the gender of the models in several high-profile fashion campaigns, and suddelyl the male portrayals of the models in these positions landed somewhere in between creepy and ridiculously stupid!
Nudity-ridden campaigns shot by notorious fashion photographer Terry Richardson took center stage, for brands including American Apparel and Tom Ford, as well as a Marc Jacobs ad shot by Jeurgen Teller featuring Victoria Beckham.
‘I think as a whole we’ve just gotten used to seeing women depicted this way, and the only way we can change it is if we stop staying silent and demand change,’ Ms Wade told The Huffington Post.
The work of Terry Richardson however, is far from funny according to the writer duo. They point particularly to his frequent collaborations with clothing giant American Apparel, which have resulted in several campaigns of questionable taste.

We won’t hold it against model Brian Shimansky that he was discovered by a scout as he was walking into a JOHN MAYER concert. GROSSS!
Even though that should make him less-sexy, somehow his sexy forcefield is utterly impenetrable. The VERSACE model from NJ can be found modelling the world’s most expensive birthday suits after the NSFW jump! Check him out!
