!! OMG, RIP Kim McGuire aka Cry-Baby’s HATCHET-FACE !!

Another gay icon has left us! Kim McGuire, the distinct actress that played HATCHET-FACE in John WatersCry-Baby alongside Johnny Depp, has passed away!

McGuire apparently found Waters and nabbed her role by responding to a personal ad in the newspaper only saying: “Wanted: Girl with a good body and an alarming face who is proud of it”.

John Waters once stated: “that face that she wears in the movie is certainly make-up; Kim has a very blank face in real life”. McGuire herself once quipped “When people see me after seeing that, they think I look really good.”

RIP, Kim! Thanks for making us laugh and for giving folks around the world the confidence to own their shit whether it’s hatchet, ratchet, both, or somewhere in between!

!! OMG, RIP Trans actress and activist Alexis Arquette !!

Transgender actress and LGBT activist Alexis Arquette passed away Sunday morning at age 47, surrounded by family. Alexis was born Robert Arquette and started acting at age 12. She went on to earn roles in the Bride of Chucky, Of Mice and Men, and played a Boy George impersonator in The Wedding Singer. Patricia Arquette, David Arquette and Rosanna Arquette were all at Alexis’ side when she passed. They posted these beautiful words about her passing yesterday:

“Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am,” Richmond posted on Facebook. “He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie‘s Starman. As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension.”

RIP Alexis! You’ll be missed! And we can’t think of a better way to enter the afterlife than knowing you’re about to meet Bowie there too!

!! OMG, RIP: The icon known as PRINCE !!

The artist formerly and currently known as PRINCE has passed away at 57. According to TMZ, Prince’s body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early Thursday morning, and multiple sources connected to the singer confirmed he had passed.

The singer — full name Prince Rogers Nelson — had a medical emergency on April 15th that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Illinois. But he appeared at a concert the next day to assure his fans he was okay. His people told TMZ he was battling the flu.

Bowie AND Prince AND Chyna in one year! What hope is there left for glamour in this world!?

Aside from the joy his music brought us, I will remember Prince for his optimistic and wishful-thinking outlook when he once said “The internet’s completely over”. Sometimes when I’m glued to my iPhone, I wish he’d been right, and that I was instead busying laying on a velvet recliner with my friends listening to his songs again. RIP Prince!

PS. If you didn’t love Prince for his music, — here’s a video of him kicking Kim Kardashian off stage at his concert to seal the deal:
