!! OMG, how real: Hologram Loch Ness Monster !!
I just watched The Water Horse on a recent airplane ride, and though my two favorite things about it (1. The adorable bulldog 2. The cute baby waterhorse noises) had nothing to do with the CGI effects, they were nonetheless impressive, and the Japanese ad campaign takes them even a step further with a giant realistic hologram projection on Tokyo Bay. It uses water jets and lighting to make a frighteningly realistic monster that could maybe even scare children, which should be the goal of a children's movie. (Thanks to Kevin R. for the tip!)
