!! OMG, welcome to brown town: VV Brown's 'Samson' !!
The last time VV wrote a record, she ended up ditching the whole thing as she found as a "sonic photograph" it no longer represented how she felt at the time of near-completing it.
She has since explored her love of environmental, ethical fashion through her e-commerce company vvvintage, and having caught the business bug and feeling a sense of too much comfort to be creative she then quit her label to launch her own under the banner 'YOY', which scared the crap out of her enough to spark real creativity in order to produce her upcoming record 'Samson & Delilah' which is due out this September and includes an accompanying 15 minute short film.
Her first single from the album, 'Samson' which you can watch below is out in mid July.
VV spoke to HungerTV [HERE] about her time away from music, her love of film and her changing attitude towards what makes a good song:
"I used to listen to a song and think how can this be a "hit record" but now I listen to a record and it's all about how it makes me feel...I think I was so consumed in the business of things I had forgotten what it felt like to just listen."

With one of the most incredible sound systems known to man, Berlin's Berghain which inhabits a defunct power station at the border between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain in Berlin is THE techno mecca, with a door-whore who is a notoriously fussy little bear indeed; think Gandalf's "YOU SHALL NOT PASS" combined with Detox' "I"VE HAD IT...OFFICIALLY"; dressed as a leather-vested teddy bear...I know, right?!
As part of Culture:City, an exhibition at Berlin's Akademie der Künste -which celebrates the driving forces of art and culture upon architecture and planning- Steffen Köhn let a few very lucky animals loose in Berghain's techno temple, as the afterhours daylight streamed through the towering window panes.

!! OMG, Cole & Rubber: Lily Cole's 'Wild Rubber' !!
English model Lily Cole has created a short film for Sky Rainforest Rescue in Acre, Brazil with the aim of helping to protect one billion trees from deforestation.
The film consists mainly of footage shot on an 8mm camera she bought in Paris with fellow Brit and film artist Tacita Dean, and contains images of a rubber-tapping community in Feijó, who's livelihood is threatened by continued deforestation.

!! OMG, this gives me JELLY BELLY: Takashi Murakami's 'Jellyfish Eyes' !!
Animazing multi-medium artist Takashi Murakami's directorial debut 'Jellyfish Eyes' [Mememe no kurage] tells the story of a young boy who is evacuated from where he lives to a small town and a school where all kids get given a remote control Furby/Tamagotchi-type pal [with monstrous ulterior motives].
One such 'Poké-pal' Luxor is like a fat humanoid Falcor, whilst Masashi's own 'Friend' is Kurage-bo [Jellyfish Boy] who was made super cute for the film but originally was meant to be something altogether different, as Takashi told Flavorwire:
"He was almost naked, my original design...he has a big penis or something...and really, you know, smells stinky."
Erm, ok hon...:s...It being, A BLOOMING CHILDREN'S MOVIE I think somebody smart decided this to be not too appropriate so the design was toned down to look more like an abundance of testicles [much better and far more appropriate of course]!
But fret not you Hentai whores, Murakami has already wrapped on the admittedly darker part 2 which even by his own standards needs custieing up a little. You can KONICHIWATCH the Japanese trailer after the jump.
