The Daily Mail named Anna Wintour's dress at the Costume Institute's Superheroes Gala as the fashion faux pas of the year. A critic apparently called her a "cast off from the sci-fi film Dune". Whatever, at least she's smiling. I think I'd trust Anna's taste over that of THE DAILY MAIL, but whatever.

The dress brings to mind one of the costumes that LaBelle [the GROUP] wore in the '70's...but Anna's is made of better material and more elegantly tailored. I rather like it, especially given the party theme.
And her face has been tailored, too....just don't know that I can say "elegantly tailored" about the surgical sewing....

Well, considering it was some kind of "Science Fiction Theme" party dress gala thing, her dress - which is FAB, by the way -- is perfectly appropriate. What I would really like to know, however, is the name of her plastic surgeon. Because he does good work!

If you belong to poor and middle-class america...this dress is a mess for you. On the other hand,if you belong to the upper strata...this dress is "the dress" for you. There are things that only the rich people can comprehend...and Anna is one of them.
