Some of famed sculptor RICHARD SERRA's pieces have been spotted along the East River in the Bronx. I suppose they're not the easiest things to store, but I can't imagine why one would have bought them without having a place to put them.

I really like the posters and such that have been stuck to the sculpture. It kind of feels post-apocalyptic/Children of Men.

His work is so "out of date" - it matches, "greed is good."

In Chicago we have the bean It is a piece of public art that engages the viewers and actually helps to create community. When viewing the bean you look at the person next to you and they are smiling and engaged with the other viewers.

If serra was any good his work would not be stored like this. I never liked his work and thought his success was driven by art dealers and intellectuals. His work is elitist.

I saw this sculpture at the LACMA last summer. It was indoors at the time.
