!! OMG, how liberating: Gay Rights in India !!
Though it's a far cry from being able to get married, it's still a huge milestone for the people of New Delhi in India after the high court decriminalized consensual gay sex.
"I'm so excited and I haven't been able to process the news yet," said Anjali Gopalan, the executive director of the Naz Foundation (India) Trust, the sexual health organization that filed the petition with the court. "We've finally entered the 21st century."
The law still has to pass through the Supreme Court, and is not binding outside of New Delhi, but it's still a huge symbol of change for the LGBT people of India.
