!! OMG, new Fever Ray video: Stranger Than Kindness !!

Fever Ray has premiered a music video for the song “Stranger Than Kindness”, a cover of the old Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds song. Directed by Andreas Nilsson, the clip incorporates much of the imagery from Fever Ray’s mystical, gender-bending live show, namely lasers, a big, hairy yeti costume thing and some ominously flickering lamps. This appears to be Fever Ray’s final video release and a prelude to triple-disc re-issue of the band’s self-titled album.
In a recent interview with omgblog.com, Fever Ray’s Karin Dreijer Andersson said that she chose to cover “Stranger Than Kindness” because it was written by Cave’s girlfriend at the time, Anita Lane:

The cover version that I chose, I think what’s interesting also is that it was written by his girlfriend at that time, Anita Lane. I really liked that song and later on I found it was a woman who wrote it, which I found very interesting. She puts all these words in his mouth and that makes it much more interesting I think… You start to wonder what it was like – why she wanted him to sing these words. And when did it all go wrong?
