!! OMG, Carolina blue is the new pink: UNC-CH now allows gender-neutral roommates !!
So proud of my alma mater! The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill -- long considered the state's gay Mecca, except for maybe Asheville -- has taken steps to make LGBT students in particular feel more comfortable on campus by offering gender-neutral dorm rooms. The board of trustees voted unanimously on Thursday to endorse a non-gender-specific housing option, which will allow students to choose roommates of either gender in campus suites and apartments. Do you know much my life in college would have been improved had I roomed with my female friends instead of random straight dudes? Way to go, Heels!
