Disgusting! Who are these people they hire to lie so terribly? This woman’s worse at it than Kellyanne! Good on, Katie, for going for the jugular on this and not letting up! Check out what a Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman had to say about Chechnya’s capturing and killing of gay men above. Despicable!

  1. Chechnya is a Muslim majority country. Islam does not tolerate homosexuality. How does this surprise anyone? All 11 countries where homosexuals can be executed are Muslim. But, keep focusing on Red Scare rhetoric and wearing hijabs in gay parades.

  2. HG, it is easy to criticize someone from the safety of your computer while hiding behind initials. And rolling your eyes, how much more of a stereotype could you be?

  3. Russia is barbaric, medieval cloak. Zakharova is only represents homophobic views of Kremlin. Homophobia is indeed Russian official standpoint.

  4. Way to go Katie.

She’s got it over Spicer and Conway for being able to lie in two languages.

It’s almost as if they don’t care anymore by sending out second or third level spokespersons.

  6. “Good on, Katie, for going for the jugular on this and not letting up!” Seriously? Did anyone expect Ms.Zakharova to risk her career, or her life, to answer Katie’s questions? Reminds me of Congressional hearings where the questioner is really making a statement (isn’t it true that…) rather than seeking information. And once Ms.Zakharova indicated that it was not her area of expertise, Katie’s continued questioning was nothing less than badgering. Go to Moscow and ask Putin, see if you get any more information. And think about how much (verifiable) information the press gets from our government.
