!! OMG, Loop Dreams: Sundance Short, ‘The Roper’ !!

When I was a little sprog and finally put down my older sisters’ neglected dolls, I watched City Slickers with Billy Crystal, and then stole my mom’s washing line to make lassos.
Kendrick “Luck” Domingue is the brown version of that: he’s better, with more skill, and a shit load more patience. This short for Sundance 2013 profiles Kendrick and his dream of making the Rodeo Finals in Las Vegas, and is currently being developed into a feature-length under the working title “Rookie”.
It’s inspiring how this kid deals with racial judgement, believing his dream is more important than other peoples’ old-fashioned judgements. Makes me want to pick up my washing-line lasso again and lasso…erm, stuff.

!! OMG, it’s just a shot away: ‘Twenty Feet From Stardom’ !!

Long-time readers of this site will know that we here at omgblog HQ have an interest in The Art of Backing Up. A few years ago we interviewed Gloria Jones – singer of the original “Tainted Love,” Motown producer/songwriter and back-up singer for the likes of T-Rex, Joe Cocker and Tina Turner – who told us an anecdote about an unfortunate rainbow wig when asked for advice on how to make it as a back-up singer.
Jones is one of several legendary back-up vocalists featured in director Morgan Neville‘s illuminating new documentary Twenty Feet From Stardom. The film profiles singers Darlene Love, Merry Clayton, Lisa Fischer, Judith Hill, Tata Vega and the late R&B singer Luther Vandross, who famously sang back-up on David Bowie’s “Young Americans.”
Twenty Feet From Stardom just premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and likely won’t hit North American cinemas until late summer. In the meantime, let’s reminisce over revered back-up singer Lisa Fischer‘s powerhouse 1991 solo single “How Can I Ease The Pain”:

!! OMG, KINKLE-CUT: James Franco talks ‘Kink’ !!

James-Franco-Kink-Foto-Agencias_NACIMA20130120_0495_3.jpg
Following Franco’s recent venture in S&M movie ‘Interior. Leather Bar.’, he is now off to Sundance to sell a documentary he produced about a San Franciscan BDSM Porn Production Studio entitled ‘Kink’.
After being given a tour of the kink.com studios, Franco had his “preconceptions…blown away” and so wanted to get involved in a project that would present those “anti-normal[ise]” those involved in the studio’s productions.
I just hope there’s a scene where they tie his face to a glory hole…did I just say that ? oops !

!! OMG, how Immersive: 360 Degrees of Tom Daley !!

tom_daley_beneath.jpg
This short by British director Amanda Bluglass was shot for a 360° screen, with surround sound [obv].
I’m sorry my dear but you will only be able to watch it on your Trium flip-phone with the crack in the screen, but it’s still A LOT of Tom, nevertheless.

This video is so pretty, it makes me want to suckle on Daley’s HIGH-DEF WET-LOOK WEBBED-TOES!
“Let’s get soaking wet!”

!! OMG, and the winner is…:not Anne Hathaway [wrong category] !!

It’s that time of year again. When all the years best film performances are celebrated, and actors and actresses dreams come true [or not]…it’s time for the Oscars Porn Awards.
We all know that Anne Hathaway expects she’ll win for her performance in the film adaptation of ‘LESbian Misérable’ [in English, ‘The Miserable Lesbian’] but it’s the 40th Porn Awards, so the only category she’s nominated in is ‘Best Car Crotch’.
Amongst those nominated for Best Up The Butt Actress are Sigourney Weaver, Meryl Streep, Bea Arthur…and Jiz…of course [who’s Björk Medley at 4.10 alone should have stolen the golden dildo]
SPOILER ALERT: Bea Arthur wins Best Up The Butt Actress for her glowing performance in The Golden Shower Girls, and should probably win next year in the category ‘Best Up The Butt Actress Acceptance Speech’:

“You think you bitches are better than me?
Sigourney Beaver, Meryl Creep?”

To celebrate Bea’s win, continuing the sopping yellow theme, click below to see Jiz’s performance earlier this year to promote TENA Bladder Dysfunction Mop-pads.
