!! OMG, How Magnanimous: Martha Plimpton herself !!

Well now Parker Posey must really losing it now! Not only did we report a few months back on the brilliant Chloe Sevigny drag queen, but now “quirky” 80’s It Girl Martha Plimpton (she boned River Phoenix, that bitch!) has one too!
In this episode of Simply Plimpton, Martha talks about magnanimity, pays a surprise visit to Chloe herself, and poops in a paper bag. Brilliant!

!! OMG, They Get So Emotional: Faces of the Last Season of Oprah !!

facesofoprah.jpg
In honor of the retirement of Her Royal O-ness, some genius has started a Tumblr featuring all the crazy faces ladies are making on this very special final season of Oprah. This lady’s reacting to the fact that today, during the premiere of the last season, Ms. Winfrey dug her old Koala Blue wardrobe out of storage and gave her entire audience a free-ass trip to Australia. The very special fans will accompany O herself on the trip, which will air again as a two part special called Oprah’s Australian Adventure.
I wonder if Beverly Ann Stickle will be going along for the trip?!?!

!! OMG, She Natters: Camille Paglia Goes Gaga !!

camille1.jpg
Everyone’s favorite lezzie crank has something to say about the greatest pop star of our times or whatever. That’s right, cultural theorist, art critic and lesbian lunatic Camille Paglia would like to weigh in on the topic of Our Lady of the Gaga. And predictably, she hates her! (FYI, Camille Paglia only likes vintage Madonna and some Brazilian pop singer named Daniela Mercury?) Writes Camille in a recent profile of Gaga:

…Despite showing acres of pallid flesh in the fetish-bondage garb of urban prostitution, Gaga isn’t sexy at all – she’s like a gangly marionette or plasticised android. How could a figure so calculated and artificial, so clinical and strangely antiseptic, so stripped of genuine eroticism have become the icon of her generation? Can it be that Gaga represents the exhausted end of the sexual revolution? In Gaga’s manic miming of persona after persona, over-conceptualised and claustrophobic, we may have reached the limit of an era…

Compare Gaga’s insipid songs, with their nursery-rhyme nonsense syllables, to the title and hypnotic refrain of the first Madonna song and video to bring her attention on MTV, Burning Up, with its elemental fire imagery and its then-shocking offer of fellatio. In place of Madonna’s valiant life force, what we find in Gaga is a disturbing trend towards mutilation and death…

!! OMG, Just Because: I GOT IT! !!

There’s no reason for this except that it’s Friday and this makes me laugh every time. I am always saying that Lisa Kudrow is both the finest and most underrated actress of her generation, but no one ever listens to me.
Have a good weekend everyone!
