!! OMG, new band alert: The Good Natured !!
English electro pop band The Good Natured answers our longstanding question "what would it sound like if Dolores O'Riordan did guest vocals for Ladytron?" and the effect is just what we would hope for.
Their latest song "Video Voyeur" is catchy and lead singer Sarah McIntosh is delightful to listen to. You can currently download the song for free on the band's Facebook page.
The Good Natured will release their debut album next year, but for now you can grab their 7-track EP Skeleton on Amazon or iTunes.
The band is doing a short North American tour next month, but leaving out Canada for some reason. Click after the jump for tour dates and a new remix of "Video Voyeur" by Adrian Lux.

!! OMG, Perfume Genius announces new album: 'Put Your Back N 2 It' !!
Seattle singer-songwriter Perfume Genius, a.k.a. Mike Hadreas, revealed today that he'll release his second LP, Put Your Back N 2 It, on Feb. 21 via Matador Records.
While his first album was an achingly personal account of his inner demons, he's describing this one as more universal in scope, addressing themes such as intimacy, power, family, secrecy and, as the title suggests, boning. Judging from the track "All Waters" (available to download below), Hadreas sounds a lot more polished now than he did on his lo-fi bedroom debut, Learning, which was one of our favorite albums of 2010.

!! OMG, download a new Hunx song: "Always Forever" !!
When we interviewed Hunx and His Punx man Seth Bogart a while back he told us he had several projects in the works and now it appears one of them will come to fruition early in the New Year. Yesterday Seth's label Hardly Art announced the release of Hairdresser Blues, a solo album as Hunx, on Feb. 28, 2012.
According to a press release, this collection of songs promises to showcase a darker side of Seth's songwriting compared with Hunx and His Punx. "A lot of this album deals with topics I don't usually write about. I wasn't concerned with entertaining people with these songs. I just wanted to get them out of me," he said. "Most of these songs were written late at night in my bedroom when I was going through really dark periods. Sometimes I wouldn't even remember writing the songs and would just find the demos days later."

!! OMG, Grace Jones' 'Hurricane' album is finally coming out in North America !!
Three years ago Grace Jones released Hurricane, her first LP of original material in nearly two decades, in the United Kingdom and Europe and now the album is finally getting an official North American release. Grace Jones completists take note: this release will include a bonus disc containing an all dub version of the entire album and smokin' hot new cover art. We love us a disco ball hat, but the original sleeve and booklet featuring chocolate busts of Grace was really, well, original.

!! OMG, SSION release new album "BENT" for free download on the Internet !!
The Internet was the talk of the Internet this week. Rumors abounded that Kanye and Jay-Z will release their long-delayed joint album online on Monday; Björk mused about never releasing another album in physical form ever again; and Prince vowed to stop recording all together until the Internet ceases to exist and things go back to the way they were in 1986 (or something like that).
Thank god for SSION's Cody Critcheloe who walked the talk and just went and released his band's new album BENT online FOR FREE. Fuck all that privileged indecision! The New York-via-Kansas City group also recently performed the album as some sort of concept electro-popera co-starring Sky Ferreira and other celebrities at the MoMA PS1. Critcheloe describes the lead single "Psy-Chic" as "a new gay luv anthem about crystal meth and buying stuff." Listen to it below and download the whole shebang here.

Hunx and His Punx mastermind Seth Bogart landed on our gayest songs of 2010 list with his cry-in-the-dark club anthem "Can A Man Hear Me?" (If there's a 'dingo ate my baby joke' in there somewhere, I can't think of one.) This year he's prepping his debut album Too Young To Be In Love with an new all-girl backing band dubbed the "Punkettes". The first song off the album "Lovers Lane" rides the girl group revival vibe, complete with spoken word lyrics and a nod to the "Be My Baby" drum intro. Check it out below.
