!! OMGaga, the ‘Born This Way’ cover art !!

bornthisway.jpg
The unicorn streak has broken! But not the big, billowing blonde hair streak. That’s still in tact. And this time with little face horns.
Yesterday, Lady Gaga leaked the cover art (after she already leaked the lyrics) for her first Born This Way single, the release of which she’s bumped up from Sunday to Friday.
But, don’t worry, there’s still plenty of Gaga to go around on Grammy night. Everyone’s favorite silver fox, Anderson Cooper, took Gaga back to her old NYC apt for a segment on this week’s 60 Minutes, airing at 7pm on CBS. Check out a teaser clip after the jump.

!! OMG, download a new Hunx and His Punx song: “Lovers Lane” !!

HX1.jpg
Hunx and His Punx mastermind Seth Bogart landed on our gayest songs of 2010 list with his cry-in-the-dark club anthem “Can A Man Hear Me?” (If there’s a ‘dingo ate my baby joke’ in there somewhere, I can’t think of one.) This year he’s prepping his debut album Too Young To Be In Love with an new all-girl backing band dubbed the “Punkettes”. The first song off the album “Lovers Lane” rides the girl group revival vibe, complete with spoken word lyrics and a nod to the “Be My Baby” drum intro. Check it out below.

Too Young To Be In Love is out March 29 on Hardly Art. North American tour dates after the jump.

!! OMG, Spider Man sucks hard !!

full_spiderman_25_wenn3192239.jpg
Images like this one keep popping up online showing the superhero “yoga twink bottom moves” from the set of Spider Man 4. And while my heart’s a’flutter to see new leading man Andrew Garfield in the spidey suit (later, Toby Maguire), I will NOT be going to see Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark on Broadway. And not just because there doesn’t appear to be any sexual-position stunt choreography.

Ben Brantley
‘s review in the New York Times confirmed what theater-watchers long dreaded about the most expensive show in history ($65 million!): that despite direction from Julie Taymor and music by U2, Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark is crap crap crap.

I’m not kidding. The sheer ineptitude of this show, inspired by the Spider-Man comic books, loses its shock value early. After 15 or 20 minutes, the central question you keep asking yourself is likely to change from “How can $65 million look so cheap?” to “How long before I’m out of here?”

So, basically, if you’re planning a web-slinging trip to New York City, wait for the movie.

Might I suggest you listen to the OMG version? Throw on some long acrylic nails and a shawl and daaaaaance, darling, dance.

!! OMG, dear Christina: This is how it’s done !!

Ahem. If you’re going to be a pop diva who sings the national anthem in front of millions of people, this how it’s done. *But don’t take away other lessons from Whitney, because crack is indeed whack.
