!! OMG, WATCH: Gaga pays tribute to David Bowie at The Grammys, collects a paycheque from Intel while doing it !!

We had high hopes for this tribute, but we have to say we weren’t a fan. It seemed like a bit much. Gaga;s tribute to David was paired with promo for a product like Intel, with a performance that felt like you were watching an overzealous drunk chick in a red Halloween store wig at a karaoke night. It would have been much better to see her just do Space Oddity at a grand piano while promoting Activia. But that’s just our opinion.

David Bowie’s son threw some shade at the ‘tribute’ by tweeting:

!! OMG, WATCH: Lady Gaga performs ‘The National Anthem’ at last night’s Superbowl 50, Beyonce and some other dudes follow !!

Proving once again that she doesn’t need a gimmick anymore — she’s got that voice on lockdown! Check out her performance above.

Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Beyonce followed with a medley of a bunch of songs that made my ears bleed everytime I walked into a convienience store last year, but Queen Bey gave the homosexual demographic what they wanted with some fiery crotch thrusting and such. Check it out below.

!! OMG, quote of the day: Lady Gaga “If talent isn’t the thing, then you are way off-base” !!

“This is the year I did what I wanted instead of trying to keep up with what I thought everyone else wanted from me. At the end of 2014, my stylist asked, ‘Do you even want to be a pop star anymore?’” she recounted. “I looked at him and I go, ‘You know, if I could just stop this train right now, today, I would. I just can’t. [But] I need to get off now because I’m going to die. I think for Adele it is (good enough just being an artist). I think for Bruno Mars it is. But that’s what I learned from working with Tony: If talent isn’t the thing, then you are way off-base.”

“My birthday is in March, so these are the last moments of my twenties,” she says. “I want to show women they don’t need to try to keep up with the 19-year-olds and the 21-year-olds in order to have a hit. Women in music, they feel like they need to fucking sell everything to be a star. It’s so sad. I want to explode as I go into my thirties.”

Lady Gaga, on what she discovered about being a popstar (and a human being), post-ARTPOP.

!! OMG, Gaga and Elton cover Billboard Magazine’s ‘We Can Be Heroes’ Philanthropy Issue !!

Lady Gaga and Elton John grace the cover of Billboard’s “We Can Be Heroes” philanthropy issue. Elton has penned an exclusive essay on HIV for the issue, while Gaga sat down for an interview. Some excerpts from that interview:

On what makes her proudest of BTW foundation:

When I see the friendships these kids have built. When I see a child with an eating disorder sit down with somebody who has a lifelong terminal illness and somebody who’s in transition — that makes me feel like we’re doing something no one else is. This is my life purpose, this foundation. This is why I was brought to life, I think.

On her ever-changing style:

There’s always a dichotomy within me. If you see me dressing really out there, I tend to be self-deprecating inside. When I dress like a lady, I tend to be feeling very wild and confident. That sounds bizarre, but I get a lot of s–t done with that blond hair. I haven’t changed. It’s just that I’m almost 30. I’m learning how to function effectively in society.

On her single, TIHTY:

It’s hard to listen to that song, it’s hard to watch it. Diane [Warren] really held my hand. I was like, “I’ve done a lot of things Diane, but can I do this?” She was like, “You can do this.” It was extremely cathartic to know that not only am I not alone, but that other men and women aren’t alone — we all have each other. Even outside of rape culture, there are a lot of people silently in pain about extremely traumatic things.
